Rachel Brown

Rachel grew up in Kew, South West London, adjacent to Kew Gardens; in 1994 she moved to East Sussex.

When Rachel's management position in a large, well known bank was made redundant after 10 years, she decided to use her strong customer service and organisational skills to start her own business. Having attended events as an exhibitor for 13 years, she decided to indulge her love of coffee and start her own mobile coffee bar. Hit Coffee was born.

In 2007, Rachel was the first person to pass the City & Guilds Barista Level 2 VRQ run by the Beverage Service Association at the London School of Coffee, gaining a "Merit" pass. During this course, Rachel discovered she had a new passion - tea! Hit Coffee now offers speciality teas such as Single Estate, First Flush, White, Green and Oolong teas in addition to the more familiar black teas, all brewed at the appropriate temperatures resulting in the best possible cuppa.

In her spare time Rachel races her Australian Shepherd Dog, Phoenix, with the Wimbledon Whizzers flyball team. Phoenix is currently ranked No1 Australian Shepherd by the British Flyball Association and competed at the European Flyball Championships in Belgium in 2009. Rachel is also Australian Shepherd breed advisor at the Discover Dogs shows at Earls Court and Crufts.
